Gaozaban:

Borage (Gaozaban) or also known as starflower is a plant. Its seeds, leaves, and flowers are used as traditional medicines. Its oil is used for the treatment of skin infections such as ectopic dermatitis, red itchy rashes, eczema as well as seborrheic dermatitis. For women, the borage benefits have been used for the treatment of menopause or premenstrual syndrome. Furthermore, in Unani Tibb, this is used in flu, bronchitis, sore throat, and asthma treatment. Coryza and laryngitis have also been treated with Borage.

Another therapeutic use of Gaozaban is for multiple sclerosis, a disabling disease of the Central Nervous System (CNS).  Diseases like primary adrenal insufficiency (Addison’s disease) and hypocortisolism can also be treated with this herb.

Skin problems such as acne and aging can also be reduced with the use of Borage. Gaozaban contains omega-6 fatty acid that is well known for its anti-inflammatory reaction and is used to reduce inflammation from the human body. In traditional medicines, Borage has been used to open blood vessels. It also acts as a sedative and treats convulsions and seizures.
