Otingan (Acanthus seeds) is a plant in the family of Acanthaceae. Otingan plant is found in Pakistan, Iran, and India as well as Egypt. It is a tiny plant that is covered with soft grey hair. It contains many ragged leaves that have tickles attached to it. Its color flowers are yellowish. Its capsules are made up of heart-shaped two seeds that are brownish in color as well as smooth and shining.

It is also known as Anjara seeds in Persian, Buzz Ralqariz in Arabic, Otingen in Gujarati, and Kardu in Marathi. The plant (acanthus seeds uses) is a shrub-like Hansa. This plant grows in humid soil. Its branches are one to two feet long. It carries small blackish white or blue seeds.
